JOB SUMMARY: Coordinating weekly visits and operational details of the Mobile Ag Lab program and assisting with other Foundation activities. This is a part-time non-exempt, hourly position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate weekly visits and operational details of the Mobile Ag Ed Science Lab program
- Communicate with school administration and staff to coordinate all aspects of Ag Lab Visit from development of student schedules through delivery of the lab
- Coordinate weekly delivery with haulers
- Troubleshoot weekly teacher, lab, and hauler issues
- Assist and coordinate in-service visits with Elementary Education Specialist and teacher training
- Assist with inventory and restocking of Mobile Ag Labs
- Serve as a backup teacher for Mobile Ag Ed Science Lab/Ag on the Go
- Provide support for Friends of Agriculture Foundation outreach events
- Network with schools and organizations as necessary
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Required:
- Ability to work independently, recognizing and seeking supervisory guidance when needed
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as necessary
- Team player – willingness to work with colleagues on all Foundation projects when needed
- Ability to build partnerships with sponsors and PFB staff to collaborate on projects
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience
- PA Teacher’s Certification
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid PA Driver’s License
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
- Working during non-traditional office hours will at times be required

JOB SUMMARY: Coordinate event logistics for Foundation events, fundraisers, and other outreach activities as well as marketing those events. Assist with the development of the Foundation’s communications strategy to raise awareness of Foundation programs and mission. This is a full-time exempt, salary position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and monitor the Foundation’s communication/editorial calendar
- Publish and edit Foundation e-newsletters, including maintaining the email list with input and articles from other Foundation staff.
- Manage and monitor all social media sites and website content
- Lead, plan and coordinate Foundation fundraising events and ag outreach activities including golf outing, Brewfest, Farm Show, and Ag Progress Days
- Work with event venues including contract negotiation, event registration, food service coordination, onsite event management and staffing, and post-event correspondence
- Foster partnerships with vendors, sponsors, and donors
- Work with all corporate event sponsors to ensure that all of their corporate benefits have been met.
- Track event revenue and expenses by each specific event
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Operate within established guidelines of the approved budget
- Develop event marketing information for distribution for each event
- Send and track correspondence with sponsors/exhibitors via email, web and print
- Implement activities developed by Foundation team, set up events, coordinate staff coverage, to include event lab
- Manage online registration data
- Assist Executive Director with key fundraising communication efforts such as annual appeal, year-end campaign, annual sponsorships, and peer-to-peer campaigns.
- Seek out potential funding opportunities for Foundation
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently, recognizing and seeking supervisory guidance when needed
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail including proofreading
- Proven time management skills with the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as necessary
- Team player – willingness to work with colleagues on all Foundation projects when needed
- Ability to build partnerships with sponsors and PA Farm Bureau staff to collaborate on projects
- Strong oral and written communications
- Experience with social media platforms
- 1 to 3 years professional work experience
Preferred:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- WordPress
- Canva
- Adobe Creative Cloud
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid PA Driver’s License
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
- Some travel throughout Pennsylvania (with possible overnight stays) to attend meetings, Foundation events, Farm Bureau events, seminars and other related events.
- Working during non-traditional office hours will at times be required
TELECOMMUTE OPTION: Primarily 80% in office, 20% work from home

We are searching for a self-motivated person to join our foundation team. The coordinator’s responsibilities include completing assigned tasks, as detailed below, with minimal supervision.
This person will be responsible for the operation and management of the foundation’s Agriculture Immersion Lab, interacting with visitors to the lab and encouraging a positive learning experience. They will oversee the lab’s interactive stations and routinely clean items. They will represent the foundation at events.
To ensure success with this position, you must possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. It is expected you will work in various types of weather, within reason, and stand on your feet for long hours. You are required to be very comfortable working with technology, to include TV, computer, tablet, virtual reality glasses, etc.
This is a part-time, per diem, non-benefit eligible position involving travel to various event locations with the state of Pennsylvania, some requiring overnight stays, depending on location. All reporting is to the Friends of Agriculture Executive Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Open, set up, maintain and close up the event lab.
- Interact with Event Lab visitors at events.
- Reset, clean education stations throughout the event.
- Foster a positive experience for guests and host of the event lab.
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and materials.
EDUCATION-QUALIFICATIONS-SKILLS:
Required:
- High school diploma
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania agriculture
- Current Pennsylvania Clearances, or ability to successfully obtain for employment process
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Possess a driven, self-motivated disposition
- Ability to work with minimal guidance
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in agriculture
- Experience with working at agricultural outreach events, such as fairs

JOB SUMMARY/Mobile Ag Lab Teacher
The Foundation engages students by conducting experiments showing how agriculture impacts their lives. A Mobile Ag Lab teacher educates K-8 students in a climate-controlled 40’ classroom trailer which travels to different schools in Pennsylvania each week. This is a part-time, per diem position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES/Mobile Ag Lab Teacher:
- Provide instruction to classes on the Mobile Ag Lab stationed at a school.
- Lead classes through prescribed lessons which use the scientific method.
- Manage the classroom environment.
- Reset stations between scheduled classes, including light cleaning of countertops.
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and materials.
- Purchase consumable experiment supplies (reimbursed expense).
- Foster a positive experience with students and the school.
EDUCATION-QUALIFICATIONS-SKILLS:
Required:
- Pennsylvania Teacher’s Certificate or Emergency Certification
- Current Pennsylvania Clearances
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two years classroom experience
- Good communication skills
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania agriculture

We are looking for CDL-licensed drivers (with current medical certificate) to transport Mobile Ag Labs from location to location (usually schools, other events, and the Camp Hill office). Hauling occurs on weekends from September through June. Tow vehicle provided by Friends of Agriculture Foundation.
